Growing a Healthy Future

Encouraging a balanced diet, including fruits and vegetables every day, can positively impact children’s health as they grow. Small changes in eating patterns (or throughout the day) can make a big difference in the health, mood, and overall energy levels of everyone you love. Let’s grow a healthy future and inspire healthy eating!

Some of the essential vitamins and nutrients found in fruits and vegetables include:

  • Calcium: Found in oranges, kiwi, and broccoli, Calcium helps build and maintain strong bones and supports heart, muscle, and nerve function.
  • Vitamin D: Eating foods rich in vitamin D helps support the immune system and promotes healthy growth. Load up on vitamin D with spinach, kale, and okra.
  • Vitamin C: Found in plums, cherries, and broccoli, Vitamin C is essential for growth and development. It also helps with maintaining good oral health.
  • Potassium: Bananas, oranges, tomatoes, and prunes are an excellent source of Potassium, one of the essential minerals for your body. Potassium helps regulate blood pressure and protects against stroke, osteoporosis, and kidney stones.

Even small changes to your family’s diet can make a big difference in the health, mood, and overall energy levels of everyone you love. Let’s grow a healthy future for our families!
